The members of the SFMortgage team are associated with All California Mortgage, Inc., a Diamond Certified mortgage broker with 74 agents in six northern California offices.
Our office is in Larkspur Landing, opposite the ferry building, at the foot of the Richmond Bridge and right off the 101 (directions). Although most of our clients are in Marin and San Francisco, we serve the entire San Francisco Bay area. We also frequently service clients in Lake Tahoe, Santa Cruz, Los Angeles, San Diego, Oregon and Hawaii.
An experienced and knowledgeable mortgage broker makes deciding on a loan, applying for it, and getting over the approval hurdle, clear-cut and direct. We package and present you to a lender in the best possible light, including providing essential advice in improving your credit score, if necessary. This is very important: the more risk a lender takes, the greater the cost of the loan. Your mortgage, like your house, has a price. The less risk the lender perceives in your loan application, the better the price for the loan. Also, our knowledge of the often-changing underwriting standards of many lenders can help immensely in making a potentially difficult loan go smoothly.
We have a working relationship with over 80 different lenders, including almost all local, regional, and national banks and savings and loans, and most wholesale mortgage banks. The mortgage industry is very competitive. Having a wide range of sources lets us shop for the one lender who has the lowest rate. These lenders discount their loans to mortgage brokers, so that you do not pay more to use a broker, and often pay less than you would going direct. We also have wholesale sources that aren’t available to individual consumers.
Once you a client, we monitor your loan and let you know whenever there is a refinance opportunity that makes sense. We are always available if you need advice in any area of real estate finance, residential or investment.
